Review Razer Book 13 13.4 Touchscreen Laptop Intel Core i7

Razer is best known for its gaming laptops and has produced numerous powerful gaming devices since the start. The Razer book 13 is quite the first-ever non-gaming laptop that it has manufactured, and the first Windows Ultrabook. From the look of it, the elegance and charm are quite depictable while the specs intrigue with their high-tier sequence.

The Razer touchscreen laptop is dedicatedly built for work enthusiasts and professional audience. But it can do the job of entry-level gaming and more such fun activity requirements such as multimedia editing. To say the least, you can easily convince yourself for it to be one of the best Windows 10 Ultrabooks.

Today, we have in review the Razerbook 13 that has compact 13.4-inch touchscreen display, latest 11th Gen processor and Windows 10. We have evaluated the specs and features of this Razer laptop in depth in case you have been thinking to get your hands on it.

  • Display: 13.4in, 1920 x 1200
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Storage: 256 GB SSD
  • Graphics: Intel Iris Xe GPU
  • Operating System: Windows 10

Design and Look – The Build Quality

The sleek, stylish, and silver attire of the Razerbook showcases a look that you might relate to. If you are also an Apple lover, you will love this Notebook’s design with the edge-cut corners. Besides having a classic Notebook design, this Razer book also supports portability at its most.

The structure of the Razer book follows the bezel-less design and there is also no chin added to the base of keyboard. The removed chin makes it quite a different looking laptop and enhances its slim-chic visual attire.

The lightweight aluminium material included in the laptop makes it look elegant than ever. The solid cuts with the aluminium surface and squared-off cornered edges make it look appealing. It has the measurements of 0.6 by 11.6 by 7.8 inches and weighs around 3 pounds for ultraportable handiness. You can easily take it around for hours and not feel any pressure, plus the design also gives a great impression for work or school.

Keyboard and Trackpad

If you’ve seen a typical Notebook layout, the Razer Book 13 has the same implied on its keyboard structure. The only difference is that this keyboard is in fact designed without a tenkey, but the keys are well-spaced. The keys have soft white backlighting while you also have the option of twinkling RGB lighting. It clearly has a great nighttime experience for those who generally use their laptops during that time. You can change the RGB lighting affects according to your preference whether you need it for gaming or casual night routine.

The multi-touch trackpad included in this Razer Book comes with the easy-to-use and smooth surface. You can use it whenever you need to multitask or use gestures for several operations in your laptop. The keys on both left and right side are stiff and snappy altogether to provide a satisfying experience.

Speakers and Ports

The fire-off speakers adjusted around the ports in the Razer Book 13 surprisingly give a delightful experience. We were shocked to hear the results of the quality of the audio Razer put them in. You could even listen to the audio sounds out of your space whether it’s the hall or a room.

Razer book has all the ports that are needed in everyday to advanced digital routine. There are, in fact, two USB Type C ports with Thunderbolt which can both be used for charging. With that, you also get USB Type A, micro-SD card, HDMI 2.0 port and a headphone jack. There is no wired Ethernet connection, but you get Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. Most of the Ultrabooks anyway don’t have it in them so we were not disappointed.

As for the display, the Razer Book sports ultra-slim bezels and give an edge-to-edge look to the display. Besides a compact size, the display impresses with its design and quality. The screen is 13.4-inch diagonally and has the 16:10 aspect ratio unlike the typical 13.3-inch laptops. You also get three screen panel choices including touchscreen full HD that we are reviewing and the other two: non-touch FHD and 4K.

The screen delivers a good quality with nice-looking colours and stellar picture quality.  The contrast is sharp and vivid for dynamic or variant graphics from all angles. You will also observe that there is a slight tilt when you open up the display because the hinge in engineered to create the steep.

The performance of the Razer book 13 gives good performance in speed tests. You can expect it to cover most of the benchmark scores whenever you put it under various pressure circumstances. The Intel Core i7 processor included in this laptop is from the 11th Generation that boasts the base speed of 2.8 GHz. It also has the solid-state drive storage of 256GB with the solid combination of 16GB RAM. It’s easier to multitask with this combo and you cannot get delays or unnecessary slowdowns.

The battery of the Razer book performs good for everyday use. On average tests, it lasts around 11 to 13 hours which makes it a great lasting time for a usual daytime routine. You can be a professional who needs to get on his average task routine with number of deadlines, a student who has to attend lectures everyday or a casual home user. The battery results of the Razer book are great to pass your day without any significant worries.

The Verdict

The Razer Book 13 is an elegant Ultrabook that sports a reliable performance for work and everyday computing. It also has a great style and design when it comes to its build, plus it doesn’t cost you extra bucks for its refinement. It isn’t a gaming laptop, but it works great for professional and business tasks. With its advanced features and a design that impresses, this Ultrabook is one of the top performers and decent all-rounder.
